Situational intelligence

Understanding what is at play in a situation

Developing your situational intelligence means understanding what is at play in a situation so that you can decide, act and interact with greater clear-sightedness and effectiveness.

The same person can react very differently depending on the situation they face.

The Selfie-coach approach brings to light the state of mind in which a person or a group approaches a situation, in order to identify the adjustments likely to make action easier.

The ability to adjust

Situational intelligence is the ability to understand what is at play in a situation, to become aware of your state of mind and to adjust the way you act when it becomes necessary.

It helps us better understand how we approach a situation before deciding how to act.

Our state of mind influences, among other things

  • What we feel.
  • What motivates us.
  • What holds us back.
  • The values that matter to us.
  • The decisions we make.
  • The way we interact.
  • The behaviours we adopt.
